This is a member of Genus Orthomeria (Aschiphasmatidae). Do you know from which island the specimens come from?

Hello Marco,
Thanks for the Genus. Both of them come from the North of Mindanao. I came back with 16 eggs. After 2 months, I had some hatchings (8 exactly). After several essays (about 20 different plants) and several days, all the insects died. I don't have any picture of the plant in Mindanao.

Do you have some hatchings of Pseudophasma from our exchange ?

Rearing of Aschiphasmatidae is usually difficult. Some species of Dinophasma accepted Fuchsia, but there are not succesful reports for Orthomeria spp. Did you find also other phasmids in Mindanao?

Eggs of Pseudophasma have not yet hatched.

il s'agit probablement d'Orthomeria pandora (Westwood, 1859).
